On a beautiful June day in Paris many years ago,

 I purchased a colorful striped journal. I slowly filled it with quotes from books and people.

 

I called it my "Quote Book".

 

Later I heard about "common-placing" which has a rich history and the treasure trove it yields for someone who keeps one. I do LOVE my "Quote Book" and if the house was burning down,
yep...

I would save that book before most any other possession!

It's been 14 years in the making and I had space for my last quote this summer.

So I started a new one. 

​

And then I started an online one for my own learning where I hope to learn as I write. I'm on the hunt for ideas since I believe that ideas are food for the mind and I want my mind to be brilliant, quick and ready for whatever is next.
