Blowing Bubbles in the Snow

Photo by Lucas Insight from Pexels

We blow them, one or four at a time

Rainbow balls bursting forth

Sparkling in the sun

What a treat to see your little lips puckering

Your little brows wrinkling

Your big eyes impressed at glycerin, soap and water –

Timeless

I am needed to still the bottle of magic

To inspire occasionally with a puff of air

Blown not too forcefully, not too softly

The skill of blowing bubbles I’ve learned long ago

Now I am learning with you another skill

That of keeping my attention on just one thing -

Concentration
